Letter Examples

Letters are generated for Cancel all Coverage, Cancel w/Refund, Reduce to Basic, Reduce to Basic w/Refund, CXLDEA – Cancel due to PI deceased (generates refund letter)

Letters do not generate for CXLNR – Cancel due to PI deceased, cancel due to closed account, cancel basic only, RR for decreased coverage, RR due to cancel or reduce to basic. These are all action only items, meaning that they either cancel the coverage or issue the refund. The cancel action happens immediately to the coverage in Artemis with these letters.

AGE70	Explains the benefit reduction at age 70
AD_006	Confirm coverage or change coverage amount or type.
BENE_CHG	Add or change beneficiary
CHANGEPI	Change PI to a joint account holder (HAP/HIP)
CXLBASIC	Cancels basic coverage
CXLCOV	Cancel ALL coverage w/o refund
CXLCOVWR	Cancel ALL coverage with refund
CXLDEA	Cancel when PI is Deceased – Form includes Refund Request form
CXLNR	Cancel when PI is deceased (Req Info: DOD, Caller Name, Relationship to PI, Phone #)
FAMEXP	Explanation of Family Coverage
LOOPCXL	CU Account Canceling w/in next 30 days – Cannot trans coverage to another FI
LTR4CXL	Someone other than PI requests cancellation
PPOPTION	Prepayment Letter
RTOB	Reduces coverage to basic only, instead of cancellation.
REACTIVATE	Starts cancelled coverage again
REDUCVR	Provides options to reduce coverage.
REFUNDEA	Refund request following death of PI.
REFUNREQ	Refund request following cancellation for any other reason other than death of PI
TYPECHG	Change coverage type (family/individual)
