How to Find POA’s Name
The Power of Attorney’s name will appear in the comments screen (F9) and the history screen (F15) as CHPOA.
There could be instances where the primary insured’s Power of Attorney calls and the Power of Attorney’s name is not listed on the record. The following requests can still be handled:
- Cancellation – follow the procedure for a third party caller; ask the POA to return the signed cancellation form along with a copy of the POA
- Duplicate certificate request – can be sent since it goes to the primary insured’s address
If the POA’s name is not listed on the record and the POA insists that the POA paperwork has been sent to us, please escalate to a Tier II agent who will complete a request for the Executive Response Team. Frontline & Tier II agents should explain that the Executive Response Team will reach out to them.
