Frequently Asked Questions
Why did I receive this letter?
“After September 20, 2025, the premium for your Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance will no longer be able to be billed to your Fingerhut credit card.”
Why won’t the premium be billed to my Fingerhut account?
“We don’t have details regarding your Fingerhut account, but you can inquire by calling them at 1-800-964-1975 anytime between 7am and 10pm Central Time, 7 days a week.”
What do I need to do to keep this insurance?
“Register or login to fmservice.com, then select update Autopay to enter different credit or debit card information, other than your Fingerhut Credit Account.”
What if I don’t have another credit or debit card?
“After September 19, 2025, you will receive a (bill frequency) Premium Due Notice through the mail so you can pay by sending us a check. Please be advised that your Premium Due Notice will include an additional $3.50 manual billing fee, but you can avoid this fee by providing an alternate credit or debit card at fmservice.com.”
I want to cancel.
“I see that you have had this insurance since (Date).
I understand you want to cancel. Before we move forward, I want to mention that there are additional benefits to this insurance, one being the common carrier benefit. The benefit pays twice the amount if there is a loss of life while riding as a fare-paying passenger, such as a cab, plane, or bus. Do you want me to email you a copy of your certificate of insurance so you can review all the additional benefits that are available to you before you decide to cancel?”
